Notes - “A resident of Corpus Christi for about 18 years, Davis entered the oil business with the Atlantic Refining Co. in Dallas and remained with the company for 17 years. He came to South Texas in early 1930, working first at Victoria and then moving to Corpus Christi.He resigned from Atlantic when he joined the Army during the war. Returning here about a year later, he worked for the W. A. Richardson Oil Co. for a year and then entered business for himself as a lease broker. He had offices in the Wilson Building.” [8]
