- “Elven was born May 27, 1932, in Bray, Okla., to Elbert and Zillie House. They moved to Tulia when Elven was very young. He attended schools in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School in 1949. He attended Lippert's Business College in Plainview. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1953 and served his country. He was a business man and a farmer. He farmed in the area for many years. He was a member of Sixth and Gaines Church of Christ, where he served as an elder.” [1]
