Notes - Inez lived in Texas, Kansas, Missouri, and Louisiana during her youth. She graduated from Joplin, Missouri, High School. There she met her future husband who she married in 1931. She was also baptized as a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1931 and remained a faithful member until her death. The family moved to Spokane, Washington, in 1942 where she would spend the remainder of her life. Her husband died unexpectedly in 1953. She had never worked outside the home before, but she had her children to support. With advice and training from her brother Melvin, she licensed a floral shop. She operated “Inez Flowers” from her home on North Regal Street, retiring at the age of 72. She said that as a florist she shared the happiest and saddest of times. [1]
